GaucheAir commenced trading on 1st July 1991 as a service orientated company specialising in split units, air-cooled package units, water-cooled package units and chillers. Today the company is a respected manufacturer and supplier of refrigeration and air conditioning installations ranging from simple residential applications to complex solutions on oil rigs.
GaucheAir has been in business for more than 30 years and is built on a strong foundation of service excellence. Our installation, service, and maintenance crews pride themselves on being the best in South Africa.
Operating out of Jacobs, KwaZulu-Natal, in close proximity to the Durban harbour, our services extend throughout South Africa and to neighbouring states and beyond, and our impressive client list includes FNB, Standard Bank and Toyota, speaks for itself.

Our air conditioning solutions provide comfort all year round for commercial applications ranging from restaurants and offices to shops, hotels and banks. Our air conditioning units use renewable energy from the air to reduce fuel bills and CO2 emissions.

GaucheAir provides many solutions for chilled water applications in the printing and packaging industries. We supply quality chillers using Daikin, York, and Carrier Chillers.

Human Capital is essential to the sustainability of any enterprise, and GaucheAir affirms this view.
The Owner, Engineering Manager, and Service Manager together represent over 60 years’ experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
All estimating, design, and engineering, as well as the preparation of CAD drawings, are done in-house by our Engineering Department. We also have a Service Department which takes care of all maintenance for our many clients.
GaucheAir currently has a permanent staff compliment of 80 people which includes 5 qualified technicians, three duct installation crews, a piping installation crew, and split and wall unit installation teams.
GaucheAir is committed to staff improvement and at present has 10 learnerships and 14 apprentices registered with MERSETA.
We are registered with FEMA (20891) with regards to workmen’s compensation, Unemployment Insurance Fund, Metal Industries, MERSETA and SEIFSA.
